This winter, the New York Children's Dance Theater's offers a delightful surprise for the entire family! The performance of a ballet-fairytale "The Wizard of Oz" will take place at the Master Theater (formerly known as Millennium) on Sunday, March 2nd, 2014 at 2pm.
"The Wizard of Oz" is an originally choreographed, full-length children's ballet production of the acclaimed story told L. Frank Baum in the 1900 novel "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz". The debut of the Wizard of Oz by the New York Children’s Dance Theater took place in February 2013 and was greeted with much enthusiasm and appreciation by audiences of all ages.
This family-friendly, delightful performance involving over 130 young, talented members of the New York Children's Dance Theater, features witty adaptation of the storyline, captivating music compilation, and unique classical, neoclassical and contemporary choreography. The remarkably innovative composition, technical and artistic accomplishments of this fascinating children's dance company, as well as the spectacular costumes and striking light effects, promise a truly entertaining and heart-warming theatrical experience for the entire family!!!
The New York Children's Dance Theater, established by the founders of Nika Ballet Studio, is a one-of-kind dance company comprised of non-professional dancers, ages 5 through 25, passionately devoted to the art of dance and trained in the best traditions of the renowned school of Russian ballet, under the artistic direction of its talented
founder, teacher and choreographer, graduate of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy and a former soloist with the Moscow Classical Ballet, Anna Fateeva-Kazantseva. For the past eight years, the New York Children’s Dance Theater has been exhilarating diverse audiences at various venues throughout New York City with ingenuity of productions, artistry of the young dancers, sophistication of performance by the principals as well as exceptional unity of the corps de ballet. Этой зимой , New York Children’s Dance Theater предcтавляет интересное и захыатывающее шоу для всей семьи, сказку – балет "Волшебник Изумрудного Города." Представление состоится в Master Theater (ранее известный как Millennium Theater) в Воскресенье, 2 марта, в 2 часа дня.
"Волшебник Изумрудного Города" - орегинальная постановка детского балета в двух актах по мотивам известного романа Фрэнка Баума "Волшебник из страны Оз.” Премьера балета уже состоялась в феврале 2013 года, и была встречена с большим энтузиазмом и восхищением зрителей всех возрастов.
Замечательный спектакль New York Children’s Dance Theater отличается захватывающей сюжетной линией, прекрасной музыкальной подборкой, а также уникальной классической, неоклассической и современной хореографией .
